In the Forest

Child name: Martyna Kistowska

Once upon a time, Kitty lived in a cottage, and her favourite thing to do on a sunny afternoon was to look for cupcakes in the forest. Sometimes Pippi, her friend, came along too.
One day, Kitty and Pippi were spending a happy afternoon in the forest looking for cupcakes when it started to rain. Before long there was lightening and thunder, too.
"Im scared!" said Pippi.
"Lets run home!"yelled Kitty.
Kitty and Pippi started running as fast as they could through the forest. The dark clouds and the rain made it hard to see where they were going. After a while, Kitty realised that they were in a part of the forest she had never seen before. The trees were strange shapes and Kitty and Pippi could hear strange noises.
"Where are we?" asked Pippi.
"I dont know. I think were lost," replied Kitty...
...Keep running. I dont like the look of this!"
Kitty and Pippi kept running, but Pippi was falling further and further behind. At last she gasped, "I cant run any more! Stop!" Kitty replied, "You stop if you like, but Im going to keep running!"
So Kitty kept running, leaving Pippi far behind. As she ran, the storm and the rain began to stop until only the trees were still dripping. But now the sun had gone down and it was dark. Kitty felt like crying - she was completely lost and alone! But then a kindly voice said, "Are you all right?" Kitty looked up to see a beautiful lady riding a unicorn.
Kitty answered, "Oh, please help me find my friend, Pippi!"
"Climb up, then!" said the lady on the unicorn, and held out her hand. Kitty eagerly climbed onto the back of the unicorn and held on round the ladys waist. The unicorn galloped away, twisting and turning through the trees as if it knew exactly where it was going, and before long they came across Pippi looking very lonely, shivery and wet.
"Phew! Now can we go back to my home in a cottage, please?" asked Kitty, but the lady shook her head.
"My unicorn cannot carry both of you. Which one shall I take to a cottage?"
"Take Pippi" said Kitty, "she looks colder than me."
"What a kind thing to do for your friend" smiled the lady. "Because you have made that choice, I will come back and collect you - and I will give you a special gift, too."
Sure enough, after the unicorn had disappeared with a grateful Pippi on its back, Kitty did not have long to wait before the lady rode back. "Climb up!" she said, and away they galloped again. When they arrived in a cottage, Kitty could see Pippi smiling and waving - next to a huge pile of cupcakes!
"A lifetimes supply" explained the lady, "so that you will never have to go into the forest again!"
