We woke up near Birmingham today — one day before our "Crazy Bird Tour" take us to The Crossing at St Paul's in Walsall — so we popped into a studio at BBC Birmingham in order to appear live on a radio show... for BBC Radio Solent!
The appearance gave us a chance to talk about our upcoming performances in the Winchester Discovery Centre on Sunday, and two Dorset village halls (Broadmayne, and St Andrew's in Milbourne) next Thursday. But the host of the radio show, Katie Martin, had heard of our reputation for making up stories on the spot... so she decided to test that reputation to its utmost!
Katie gave us eight words to craft into a brand new fairy tale of less than 2 minutes in length...! There were four objects — a spoon, a hat, a clock and a kettle — and four places — the moon, the beach, a field, and a car park!
Without any time to think, Chip and David had to launch into a story. To find out how they got on, click here to listen to the Katie Martin show! (Our spot appears about 1 hour and 34 minutes in...)
The above link will be live until Thursday 2nd August 2012...
The on-the-spot improvised storytelling was an example of just one fifth of the fun that's to be had by audiences to come to performances on our "Crazy Bird Tour". For more details of how to book for the seven remaining shows — either in Winchester, Dorset or elsewhere — click here!
